Can you opt out?
No state law decides this. We searched the state's official law sites and found none. The Idaho Health Data Exchange was named for 2009 federal funding; we found no current state designation. Its own FAQ says you can opt out by form. The exchange's opt-out form, Request to Restrict Disclosure of Health Information (read October 7, 2026), says: You can choose whether to make your health information available to providers participating in the IHDE.

Getting a copy in Idaho
