Not legal advice. This page lists who to contact about your health record in each country and territory we cover. It is general information, not a substitute for advice from a lawyer, and not medical advice. It shows the contacts as of October 5, 2026. Laws, offices and websites can change, so check with the office itself before you rely on anything here.

In 2026, for the 197 countries and territories outside the United States, we list how to see your record and which official offices to contact about it. Of these, 65 have a national patient portal. We list a privacy regulator for 110 and a patient rights body for 50. We list the health ministry for 86 where we could not confirm a privacy regulator.

We used only official pages: a government site, the office's own site, or, where we could not read an office's own site or found none, a World Health Organization, United Nations or embassy page, and we say so on the row. These organizations are not affiliated with us and have not reviewed this page. Each quote is copied from the page as we stored it. Where a quote is in another language, our machine translation into English follows it. English names in brackets are ours too.
