Getting a copy in New Mexico

Yes. New Mexico law: no shorter deadline and no free copy. HIPAA, the federal law, gives you that right in all 50 states and DC. The provider has 30 days, plus one 30-day extension, and may charge a cost-based fee. As of October 3, 2026, we found that New Mexico law adds no shorter deadline and no free copy.
