Terms of use for the data
These terms cover the data API at /api/v1/, the MCP server at /mcp, the downloads under /data/, and llms.txt and llms-full.txt. The data is free to use under CC BY 4.0 if you give credit. These terms last changed on October 4, 2026.
Permission to use the data
SuperTruth, Inc. licenses the scores, answers, labels, our own words and the structure of the data under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0). You may copy, change and build on them, for any purpose, if you give credit.
The general terms of use of SuperTruth, Inc. apply to this site. For the data on these routes, this page is our written permission to read it with scripts, apps and AI agents, within the rate limit. Where the two differ on this data, this page controls.
How to give credit
Credit this way: SuperTruth, Inc., Health Record Rights Index, with a link to healthrecordrights.com. The same applies to anything an AI assistant writes for you from our data.
To cite the index in research, use the citation that comes with every API answer. If you change a score or recompute a rank, say so.
What is not ours to license
Some parts of the data belong to others. CC BY 4.0 does not cover them, and we do not relicense them: the words of laws and other sources we quote, the titles of other people's pages, and the pages our links point to. Their owners' terms apply.
DTI™ is a trademark. These terms and CC BY 4.0 grant no trademark rights.
Rate limit
You may make 60 requests a minute from each address, with short bursts up to 120. The API and the MCP server share one limit. Past it, you get an error that says how many seconds to wait.
We may slow or block any address that abuses the service, tries to get around the limit, or harms the site for other readers.
No endorsement
You may say your work uses the index. You may not say or suggest that SuperTruth, Inc. endorses, reviewed or works with you, your product or your findings, unless we have agreed to it in writing.
No guarantee
We provide the data as is. We do not promise the service will be up, fast or free of errors, and we do not promise the data is complete, current or correct. We may change, move or stop any route, except that we will not remove, rename or retype a version 1 field, and we will give notice on the developers page before we stop version 1. Check what matters against the sources we link.
The data is a research tool. It is not legal or medical advice. Scores rate national law and infrastructure, not any hospital, doctor, insurer or company.
Privacy
You do not need an account or a key. Our code uses your address only to count your requests for the rate limit. It holds it in memory and never writes it down. We keep counts of requests per day by route, by the kind of client (for example a browser, a script or an AI assistant, read from the User-Agent header) and by result, with no address and no User-Agent attached.
Our host, Railway, keeps its own request logs, which include your IP address and user agent, for a limited time set by our host.
Contact
To report an error or ask about these terms, use our Tell us form at /tell-us/. If you are under 13, ask a parent or teacher to send it for you. Do not send anyone's health details, including your own.
